I love travelling....I will quite happily come back AGAIN, but its all about the money and time sad

Wedding planning has been going really well. It feels so close and so far away at the same time. Again its all about the money and the time. HAHA thinking I will be feeling poor for a long time yet!

Well not QUITE married yet but engaged and just over the moon about it. Date is set for April 10th 21015. So been crazy busy planning that. Also into my second year of teaching. Really loving it but also very stressed over it. Math and Science at secondary years...they tend to be the subjects that students hate. Gotta battle that perception first before you get anywhere.

On school holidays right now and had a real longing to catch back up with the dorquettes!! Its really awesome to see everyone going so well.

John proposed in New York on New Years Day (about 1am), just after we watched the ball drop. The photo above was taken about an hour after that.

So after years of being lame.....

Hello??

I know it has been SO SO very long since I have been on here, but figured you can always come back right?
I have still been going on facebook and have been keeping track of what Chris is up to, but other than that just been missing you lot!

Am I still remembered? Cos otherwise this is awkward....

Hahaha one thing I am quickly learning about teaching is that you gotta love all the acronyms!! I am not sure what your STAAR is but in Australia we have "SAC" which is school assessed coursework, or you might be talking about what we call NAPLAN (National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy). Essentially just standardised testing. However I am still kinda excited about being a student teacher. Taught my first class today!! And starting straight away from when they get back after Easter I am in there for 4 weeks! EXCITING!! Organising my lesson plans already smile

Deb - Thats amazing...I was so grateful that I had the chance to meet your friend. He was very sweet to me while I was in over my head in another country not knowing my way around and he was so very helpful!! Yay Joe, so happy for him to be coming home.

Maria - Think of it more as a Molly Ringwald cut....I think...hahaha post a photo! But if its short curly and 80s I can only think of Molly

Trying to figure out how to teach in England.  Always been a dream.  Anybody living outside of the U.S. have any suggestions of how I can start this process?  I know getting a visa for one...

I have a fair few friends that have done it, but they were all Australian to start with, and as far as I have heard its pretty easy considering we are still a Commonwealth country.....sorry I can't be more help!

He is definitely playing an elf in the movie but I could totally see him pulling off angel as well...you are right there is something about him with the blonde hair that helps that image

Happy Birthday Deb!! I was planning on sending you a present, but clearly I am a terrible friend and havent gotten around to it. But I WILL eventually get it done and mailed to you...just might be a Christmas in July type present wink

Hahaha you should totally move to Australia! At least for a little while...but November in Melbourne is usually a pretty wet month. Warm but wet...little silly. 30C days with storms too, kinda amusing in general

#15 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 08 Nov 11 :: 21:33

Usually if you have to sign for something and you arent home, here they leave a note saying what time they were there and which post office you now have to go to and sign to pick it up. Thats what they do here at least!

Also I don't play this game because I am seriously outgunned in the movie knowledge department by you guys, but I do like to scan and see how you got there sometimes. I know Erik Estrada has done a fair few cameos. The one I can think off the top of my head is he did one on Scrubs and fairly sure My name is Earl as well

#24 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 21 Aug 11 :: 08:31

Just because he hasnt told us yet about any special ladies....doesnt mean he isnt dating right now. I really do hope he finds happiness regardless of whether he finds a woman or not. But it is a nice thought for him to settle down with someone to share his life with. I am sure we can all agree on that.

Oh Lindsey....I would recommend getting the vaccination injection. I would not wish what I went through on anybody! Being a teacher I am sure you will catch everything and anything that your kids have, so probably best to prepare yourself!
