Oh man. This is getting really ridiculous. From what we've seen and heard, there's no way this movie is terrible. And it's definitely got an audience. So what's with the pushbacks? Grrr.
Awesome interview guys, thanks! Very insightful. Cool that he wants to know who we are.
I'm totally going to go back and look for Eric in the opening footage of Alpha Dog. I don't remember a kid holding a gun, hmm.
Ah, that's too bad TeeJay. But I agree with Deb, it's nothing you need to rush out and see.
Oh wow, that's awesome news. Thanks Larry
That's adorable! I love it. Thanks for that one Anne.
Gorgeous photos TeeJay, thanks.
Cool news! Thanks Deb.
Yeah, I really think this movie had the potential to be great. It's really too bad.
They overplayed their music so much on the radio here that I can't stand it anymore. I don't even listen to the radio often, yet somehow I would hear "The Reason" at least once or twice a day for quite some time after it released. Drove me insane.
Great pictures TeeJay! Thanks a bunch.
Ah yeah, I'm around. Little bit busy, but it's all about to be over.
I agree with you, Deb. The movie was enjoyable enough -- it kept my interest for the most part, although I'm sure the fact that Chris was in it had something to do with that. Chris was fantastic, as always, in his part. I really wish they would have wrapped up his character arc, though, instead of leaving it for the viewer to decide. Like you, I'm starting to wonder if that was intentional or if scenes were cut in order to make the PG-13 rating.
The story just didn't connect smoothly enough for me. I felt that it was really difficult to relate to the characters - their backgrounds weren't really explained. For instance, although they briefly mention something about Annie's mother, her anger and motives were unclear, which made it hard for me to buy her actions as a result of a bad home life. They touched upon the whole stepmother character, as well as the neglected little brother, but something just seemed to be missing. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the type of viewer who needs everything spelled out in order to enjoy a movie. This one just didn't work for me.
Aside from Chris's parts, which were outstanding, I thought the acting was just alright. Justin Chatwin really got on my nerves after awhile; he seems very aware of the camera, which irked me for whatever reason. He was just not believable enough.
I also noticed some issues with the music, although I can't recall individual moments where it was off. I felt that the songs were placed in scenes to make up for the fact that the acting and/or storyline just wasn't cutting it. I like most of the music they had chosen, it just didn't seem to fit a lot of the time.
All in all, this movie wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen, but it wasn't great either. Chris was awesome, and it's not something a Dorquette should go without seeing.
Cool, thanks for the link TeeJay. I'll watch the demo reel when I'm able to up the volume on my computer without bothering people.
She's quite beautiful.
Awesome, thanks Deb.
I'm actually digging his hair right now. Like most of you, I'm not a huge fan of the face fuzz, but he's cute regardless.
Here's some photos I've found from the premiere of Charlie Banks tonight. I'm sure more will pop up soon. Hopefully the movie played well and we'll see some articles and reviews.
I just got back from the movie and have yet to really formulate much of an opinion. I found the movie to be entertaining enough, but kind of average.
I'll come back to this thread when it's not as fresh in my mind.
Sure thing guys.
I'm with you Anne. I'd love to see Chris on stage, but there's no chance I'll be going to Colorado to see it.
I think her name is Diane, actually.
Yeah, I think you're right.
Hmm, this is an interesting article.

Some of Tinseltown's most popular young stars will trade the Hollywood hills for the hills of Boulder this August, and it could be just the start of an unlikely new annual infusion of celebrities there.
Jamie Wollrab is coming home from Los Angeles to direct a play in Boulder, and he's bringing along pals Chris Klein, Justin Chatwin and Chris Marquette to star in it.
Haven't heard of them? Ask your kids. After they stop squealing.
Here's a couple more from Getty. Why is every site listing her as Diane? Even IMDb has her as Diane Gaeta. Who's got it wrong?
I'll be seeing it tomorrow as well Deb. I have yet to pick the time and place, though. Hahaha. Should be great!
Okay, one word, Brenna: Screencaps?
You got it TeeJay!
If you can't be excited about giant bugs, can you at least be excited that Chris will be the lead in a probable Summer 2008 tentpole picture with sequel potential?
I'm insanely excited actually. I have complete faith in Chris to choose projects that are new and diverse. We all know he can tackle any kind of character, and that he can even make a potentially poor movie quite good. I'm wicked excited to see him as the frontrunner in an action movie, as it's something he's never done before. Besides, the movie sounds like it will be fun.
PS: Chris, if you do see this, not I do NOT share in this lack of enthusiasm.
Agreed.
Despite the sucky extras, I know I'll be celebrating my last day of school by grabbing this from Best Buy on the 1st. I'll chance having to sell it back if a special edition releases at a later date.
Whoa guys, what the hell is with all this Chris news tonight? Sheesh.
I figured this would be okay to post here now that some news has leaked. I thought Chris said it would be alright to talk about in two weeks though? Hmm.
While surfing around IESB.net, I noticed this little blurb on the side that read "Chris Marquette is Fighting Giant Alien Insects!" I made some sort of loud squeeling noise before clicking on it, which I'm sure woke some people nearby.

So Kyle Rankin is directing it eh? Being a Shia LaBeouf fan, I know him from Project Greenlight's second season which followed him as he co-directed The Battle of Shaker Heights. The movie wasn't all that successful, but I'm thinking that was more of the show's issue than it was the directors. Anyways, this movie sounds like it should be fun. My kid brother adored both Shaun of the Dead and 28 Days Later, so I guess I know who I'll be taking to the theater when this releases
