I recently started (finally!) watching Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey. Both great shows, though you can't really compare them.

#177 Re: Chris On Screen » The Double » 16 Feb 12 :: 10:59

I can't believe I still haven't seen it. *sigh*

Learned that this morning, was pretty shocked. I used to be a big fan of her. I mean, back when she still could sing. Have to admit, in the recent years I stopped listening. May she rest in peace.

#179 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 12 Feb 12 :: 18:13

Well, they found a big source for money, obviously. But I won't watch any movie that's not based on a book when it comes to Twilight.
I suppose they could try making the Bree Tanner novella in a movie but I doubt the original Cullen cast would agree to be in it and if they cast different actors I won't watch that either. Just my two cents.

"A while"? Really? Uh, okay. I'd actually be surprised if I get to see this AT ALL. *sigh*

I want just the Chris scenes and Moyer scenes on a dvd.

I found the German DVD in a store last week, but I didn't buy it, Marquette and Moyer in one movie require definitely the BluRay.

Anne, I've got "bad" news for you. Moyer and Chris don't have any scenes together. Moyer is also only in the first 20 or so minutes. And he's got an ugly scar right across his face.

I've got bad news for you: Those things aren't new to me. LOL
Anway, can't wait to finally see the whole thing. I don't care how much they are in the movie, I just want to see them. And that they don't have any seens together is also okay with me. That way I can drool over both without feeling guilty. big_smile

#183 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 27 Jan 12 :: 19:25

Then my mind works in weird ways. I can't stand horror movies, but I love psychological thrillers.

#184 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 27 Jan 12 :: 19:24

I could use one of those, too. Or at least some "FUKITOL" pills. lol

#185 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Birthday Thread » 26 Jan 12 :: 21:36

Aw sorry, Tina, I was looking through our Chris screencaps on your birthday, but I couldn't come up with a funny idea for a graphic. And I know the last one I created for you wasn't that great either. LOL I at least tried, okay? wink

#186 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 26 Jan 12 :: 21:25

I didn't find it scary at all. Like Deb said, it's more of a psychologial thing. I "loved" it as much as I hate horror.

#187 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 23 Jan 12 :: 01:44

It's a really good movie. I wouldn't put it in the "horror" genre (since I don't like horror movies, haha), but it's definitely dark fantasy.

#188 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Birthday Thread » 23 Jan 12 :: 01:42

Thanks, Mel. It's past midnight here, so technically my birthday is over now, but since most of our board people are  behind with their timezones I still accept birthday wishes. wink

#190 Re: Square Eyes » Post your recent DVD purchases » 23 Jan 12 :: 01:21

It's not really a purchase, but I won the DVD of The Caller (a Stephen Moyer film) a few weeks ago.
Oh, and I bought Secretariat on DVD while in Austria for the New Year.

#191 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Birthday Thread » 22 Jan 12 :: 15:12

Hahahaha, great picture! Thank you, Tina! We didn't have the cake yet, though. Maybe that's a good thing? LOL

And happy belated birthday to Maria, I was too busy to go online yesterday, so I missed it.

#192 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 20 Jan 12 :: 19:21

I have a new mobile phone, yay!

#194 Re: Square Eyes » All Things Michael Welch » 18 Jan 12 :: 20:34

Looks like another "Hollywood ran out of ideas" case to me ...

#195 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Book Thread » 18 Jan 12 :: 20:33

I was informed today that I won a signed copy of Butterfly Rising by Tanya Wright (from True Blood). Looking forward to reading it!

#196 Re: Square Eyes » 2012 TV/Movie Award Season » 16 Jan 12 :: 19:23

I missed the beginning, but I watched at least part of it. Was glad for Midnight in Paris and The Help, but I got to say, last year was so much more fun. This year it was kinda lame. Just my opinion, though.

#197 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 15 Jan 12 :: 22:16

In case you missed me here, I was kinda busy these past three days and didn't have a second to come online. I'm back now, though.

#198 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Book Thread » 15 Jan 12 :: 22:03

I'm currently reading The Help. The movie is already awesome, the book looks even better.

That reminds me when I got to see it in my OV theatre at home one year later ... I told the theatre people I had the chance to see it even before it hit the American theatres. They were impressed. LOL I should get it on DVD finally. *sigh* Let's check CD-WOW ...

Yeah, There's a lot of that on the IMDb board for the show. It's stupid and childish and I just ignore those people.

On Facebook too. Sometimes it's almost amazing how DUMB people can be. The funniest post I read from an Ericfan was "If Anna Paquin would have met Alexander Skarsgard first she'd be married to HIM now."

I mean ... HELLO? yikes :doh: lol I listened to crap like that for 30 seconds and since then I happily ignore it and enjoy the show.
